2117 of Sweden was founded in 2003 by some guys who didn´t find what they were looking for in Swedish sports stores. They wanted nice-looking skiwear with high functionality but for prices that attract common people. When not finding this they benefited from their 30-year of collective experience in the sportswear and ski industry and founded the brand 2117 of Sweden. Since the start in 2003 the brand has grown quickly and is now distributed in 23 countries across 3 continents.
The name 2117 of Sweden is inspired by the Swedish nature, with 2117 meters once being the height of Kebnekaise, the highest mountain in Sweden. The fact that the glacier top has melted to no longer be 2117 meters above sea level keeps us concentrated on what needs to be one of the key priorities in the garment industry – to reduce mankind’s effect on our environment. Since 2009 our focus is to develop and produce eco-friendly garments. This is executed by using recycled fabrics, recycled padding and PFC-free treatments for water repellency in our garments.
2117 of Sweden is mainly associated with skiwear but we also develop garments and products for outdoor activities, garments for golf, running, and training along with garments that are suitable for everyday streetwear. 2117 of Sweden is recognized by a clean Scandinavian design that incorporates bright colors in the details.
2117 of Sweden has participated as an official sponsor and supplier at several big events such as Volvo Ice Camp Kaprun, Volvo Austrian Amateur Open, Scandinavian School of Golf and University of St Andrews Golf Program.
Our team of designers always strives to combine their know-how with new techniques and ideas. This is to be able to develop and produce innovative and nice-looking garments that suit the most discriminating performer regardless of if the activity is skiing or hiking. Our designers are always in contact with our team riders and ambassadors, which are carefully selected by our distributors around the world. The close connections enable for an open dialogue for feedback which becomes important when creating new collections.
