The majority of all 2117 garments with membrane use membrane from Tritech.
Tritech membranes have passed REACH 148 and Oeko-tex-100 standards and this brand is constantly working to become more and more environmentally friendly. Tritech’s PU membrane is PFCs free and has many advantages in comparison with PTFE and TPU.
ALTO padding is made out of 100% recycled PET bottles and offers two varieties of padding. One where the padding is shaped like balls and one where the padding is in sheets. The garments filled with ALTO padding will not only keep you warm and comfortable but will in the meantime also help to reduce the plastic waste that we are experiencing in nature.
The special features of wool fibers from sheep are their outstanding thermal properties and excellent climate control. We use fabrics and padding with wool cause its eco friendly, temperature regulating and moisture regulating. We use mulesing free wool.
Leading producer of recycled fibers, REPREVE transforms recycled plastic bottles into amazing products you use and wear everyday. Recycling plastic bottles can make a big difference. Since 2009, REPREVE has transformed more than 4 billion plastic bottles that have been recycled by you to make recycled fibers. 2117 of Sweden use recycled fibers from Repreve since 2011.
Down has the feature of warmth while being extremely lightweight. The down used in 2117 of Sweden’s products is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). RDS aims to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to any unnecessary harm.
All 2117 garments have an ultra-thin treatment called DWR, a durable water repellent polymer, applied to the outermost fabric layer so that water beads up and rolls off rather than soaking in. Our DWR is PFC free, PFC´s is hazardous to the environment and human beings.
Originally developed to serve the needs of the U.S. Army, who desired a water resistant, synthetic alternative to goose down, PrimaLoft is recognized globally as the proven leader and constant pioneer of innovative comfort solutions. In 2010, PrimaLoft was awarded compliance with the bluesign criteria for environmental impact, establishing PrimaLoft as the first branded insulation manufacturer to obtain bluesign’s system partner status in 2015 which is important for 2117 of Sweden.
Dupont Sorona insulation is made of minimum 30% renewable sourced polymer that is made with annually plant-based ingredients. Production of Sorona also requires 30% less energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 63% over and equal amount of petrochemical-based Nylon6. Dupont Sorona is excellent in both warmth sealing and breathability.
The RECCO® Rescue System is two-part technology. Ski resorts and rescue teams carry RECCO® detectors.
